Chloe Jenkins is a Canadian artist who specializes in contemporary oil painting. Born in England, Chloe’s family moved to Canada when she was just a year old. Growing up in British Columbia, she was encouraged by her parents to explore all facets of her creativity. She began her painting practice while studying visual arts at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan. In 2023, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Her work explores concepts relating to the ephemerality of time and the ever-changing subjectivity of perception. Through light and shadow, she delves into the complex nature of the passage of time in relation to the human experience. Her paintings often draw from still images seen in film and television—a paused moment that was only meant to be seen fleetingly through the moving pictures.
